JETTY TO JETTY

Discover Broome’s beauty, culture and rich pearling history on the Jetty to Jetty heritage trail.

The Jetty to Jetty Trail is Yawuru’s Award-winning self-guided heritage walk along the foreshore of Roebuck Bay. The accompanying book presents a rich visual history with first person accounts from the unique lives lived in Australia’s north west during the height of the pearling trade. During Shinju Matsuri, Broome’s Festival of the Pearl, the Jetty to Jetty trail comes alive with live performances and activities.  Each year different locations along the trail host live storytelling, song and dancing.

There are signposts at each location with its own story to tell. Download the app and listen to the stories as you move through the town at your own pace.
